Mr. Kennedy’s background in design, construction, real estate development and forensic investigations make him a key role within the team. 

He owns and manages a real estate development company, with properties ranging from single and multi-family apartments, commercial and industrial properties. Prior to founding Kennedy Richter Construction, he worked as an architect/ building envelope consultant with Applied Building Sciences (ABS). He has experience in design repair/ restoration of building envelopes and has testified as an expert witness in many construction litigation cases. 

Mr. Kennedy is actively involved with several philanthropic organizations in the Charleston area including Carolina Youth Development Center. He presently serves as the Chairman of Boykin Spaniel Society.  

Mr. Richter’s expertise lies in construction estimating, project management, and financial operations. He brings an infinite knowledge of the construction industry to the team.

Patrick Richter has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His roles in the construction industry have included journeyman carpenter, project engineer, superintendent, estimator, and senior project manager. 

He has a diverse background in various sectors of construction that have included hospitality, corporate, medical, industrial, retail, and multi-family. Patrick has worked for large national general contractors in the states of New York, Florida, Washington, and California. 

Mr. Richter and wife, Dr. Tiffany Richter, have two kids and live on Daniel Island. Dr. Richter specializes in Palliative Medicine in Charleston, SC. Both are active members of the Charleston community.

As CFO and General Counsel, David manages the financial and legal operations of Kennedy Richter Construction. David has over a decade of wide-ranging experience in the construction and real estate industry, both as a real estate developer and assisting clients through construction litigation and real estate transactions.

David grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended college at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania where he earned a dual Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. After graduation, David received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. 

David is a licensed attorney, a licensed residential builder, and a licensed real estate broker. David’s comprehensive experience in construction, real estate, and law allow David to assist customers with many facets of the construction process. David currently resides in West Ashley with his wife, Liza, and two-year-old son.

As Chief Growth Officer, Rich brings over 30 years of experience from the technology, manufacturing, and construction industries to KRC.  Having previously served as CFO, COO, and then CEO for a multi-state reconstruction company, Rich has deep knowledge of how to build systems, processes, and culture as the keys to providing high quality client outcomes.

Rich provides leadership in the areas of strategic planning, resource planning, performance management, and financial budgeting and analysis.  Rich has been interviewed on several industry podcasts discussing the importance of culture building and “doing the right thing” for clients as the keys to success.

Rich grew up in Michigan and received a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Western Michigan University. Rich currently resides in Colorado with his partner Michele, and they are fortunate to live ten minutes from their grown children and granddaughter.
